Medical Records

• Request for medical records are released only with your written consent
• There is a fee for copying medical records
• 3 to 5 working days notification is required

Lab Results

Lab, x-ray, and biopsy results take at least 7 to 10 working days to be delivered.  The physicians review the results and the patient will be notified by letter or phone.  Please be aware if a report reveals a serious abnormal value the physician is notified immediately by the lab and the patient will be called. 

Billing and Insurance

Our fees are based on the highly specialized care we provide.  All deductibles and co-payments are expected at the time of service.  Visa and Discover Card are accepted for your convenience.  Fees are charged for the following services:

• If an endoscopic procedure is performed, there is a professional fee from the physician performing the procedure
• In most cases, there will be a Facility Fee charged by the hospital where the procedure is performed
• The patient will receive a bill after the insurance company has paid.  Therefore, any bill the patient receives is the patient's responsibility
  
  

The Billing Department is available for questions between 10 AM and 3 PM.  Press 5 on the phone menu to speak with a representative.

Ask the Doctor

The physicians spend most of their mornings at the Out-Patient Surgery Centers and see patients from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  The Voice Mail System is the quickest way to leave a message.  The Voice Mail is reviewed by the Clinical Staff every hour.  Messages are given to the physician as soon as he is available.

• An emergency situation is given immediate priority
• Patients will most likely be called back late in the afternoon or the next morning
• Prescription refills should be called in between 9 AM and 11 AM
• Please do not wait until you have taken your last pill!
• Answers to routine messages take an average of 24 hours
